Perched on the dominant chalk cliffs of Normandy. A popular location for artists, writers and film makers. Growing up in Jersey I visited France many times, I remember this area as a child and the cliffs seeming huge (they were/are), up to 300 feet. For some reason the area is linked to Poirot in my memory, why, I'm not sure.
The original painting of 'Falaises d'Etretat, Normandy' was painted in 2020 with acrylic paint on Hahnemühle bamboo paper 265gsm.
This is also the right hand panel of the Normandy and Brittany triptych. It is available as a panoramic archival limited edition print 90 x 40cm.
The dimensions of the visible painting are 29.5cm x 39.5cm, with the total size is 30cm x 40cm which includes a 0.5cm border. The painting is signed by the artist. Enclosed with the painting is also a certificate of authenticity signed by the artist.
The painting will be shipped flat, wrapped in tissue paper, placed into an acid free sleeve then secured between several layers of two ply cardboard.
