This is one painting of only a few that I was not present to sketch. The painting is taken from an assembly of historical black and white images. This is Jersey Airport just after the occupation of the Island by German forces had ended. Quite a lot of the original structure exists although extended upon. The aeroplane in the foreground is the Spitfire Supermarine Mark IV which played a pivotal role in the Battle of Britain. I decided to paint this scene purely for preservation as it is to be developed in the near future. Here both plane and airport are immortalised at their peak.

This print is one of a limited edition of 150. The dimensions of the visible print area are 43cm x 57cm. The total size is 45cm x 59cm which includes a 2cm border for framing purposes.
