Lindisfarne Castle is a 16th-century castle located on Holy Island, near Berwick-upon-Tweed, Northumberland.
The island, a historical centre of Celtic Christianity, and the castle dominate the panoramic triptych by overlooking, hypothetically, Sark and Isle of Wight.
This mixture of place, the transposition of palette and the low winter light create the dramatic scene. All known places yet together create another world.
